Retirement of Rev Dr Valerie J Duff
After the Nativity Service on Sunday 19th December, we marked Val’s retirement. Val became our Minister in 2014 and an awful lot has happened since, not least the union and our building improvements. We wish Val God’s blessings, health and happiness for this new phase of her life.

Sunday School Nativity Service 19th December
What a special service today! Wasn’t the Nativity wonderful? We are so very grateful to our incredible Sunday School teachers who work so hard to make the Nativity so uplifting every year. And well done to our young people!

Messy Church Saturday 27th November 3.30-5.30pm.

Thanks to everyone who came along to our first Messy Church since 2019. The feedback was hugely positive. We are so very grateful for our amazing Messy Church team who made the day such a success!
Family Social
On Saturday 23rd October, a number of our church families got together. As well as the bouncy castle, we did some crafts and creating around the theme of autumn and Hebrews 13:8 – “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” We also had a chat about how we take things forward for families in our church – thanks to all involved for contributing.

Church Conference Report
On 31st August, we had our church conference. Many of our congregation came along to have their say on the future of our church. Here is our conference report. Please feel free to share with all who you think may be interested. 📢
Church Conference 31st Aug 2021
We had a Reimagining Church Conference recently. The turnout was fantastic. Our discussions focused on:
Intergenerational and Inclusive Church
Children, Young People and Families
Presbytery and Congregational Planning
There were lots of inspiring ideas and great suggestions. Thanks to all who came along and offered to help as we move forward together. A report is being prepared and will be shared with everyone. If you came along and felt you could help with some aspect of church life and would like to let us know, please click on our Volunteer section and get in touch with our Session Clerk, Liz Osborne.
There will be opportunities for other groups to feed into our plans in these areas in the coming weeks and months.

Val’s Fundraising for Christian Aid
Every day during March and on two days in April, Val is going to climb her stairs 14 times which will mean that she has climbed the height of Ben Nevis – and she is doing it to raise funds for Christian Aid. Please support her. This morning 1st March – Oscar the cat stood at the top of the stairs cheering her on! (Or was he wondering why she was so much slower than he is!)
